Consider The Implications 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

If you were a part of our worship service online this morning (watch it here), I taught on 1Thessaloniasn 5:16-18  which says "Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus" (NLT).   After our time together, many of you came to our Zoom meeting and thenwent into Breakout Rooms to talk about what that looks like in our own lives together.  The question that we started with was "We know that each command  from our passage is important for us personally and as a church, but which of the three commands that Paul gives do we feel is most important for us to focus on this week?"

In many of our breakout rooms the answers were different and so there were some follow up questions for each group to talk about and so I wanted to share them with you all here to consider.

A. What is one thing you can do this week to lead your heart into greater joy?

B. What is one of the biggest challenges you have faced in making prayer a regular part of your life?

C.  How can we encourage each other to be thankful for what God has done for us? Do you want other people to encourage you to be thankful?

We are grateful for you all and are praying for you this week.  If we can pray for you more specifically, email your prayer requests to prayforme@discoverthegrove.com

Blessings,

~Pastor Scott
