The Values that Shape Us

As a Christian church, we believe Jesus gave a command to all of His followers to go into the whole world and make more followers of Jesus, teaching people to do what Jesus taught us to do. The way we do that at The Grove is by pursuing:

Truth that Changes Us | Relationships that Matter | Love in Action

Truth that Changes Us
Jesus told people that He was THE way, THE Truth, and THE life and that no one comes to the Father (God) any other way than through Him. That is why we’re committed to helping people understand who Jesus was, what He taught, and who He is today. Knowing and experiencing Jesus in our lives is the Truth that Changes Us. We study the teachings of Jesus and his followers in the Bible because they help us learn more about who Jesus is and who we are called to be.

Relationships that Matter
The Bible teaches us that God exists as one God and yet in three persons. This is what Christians call the Trinity. God, by nature, exists in perfect relationship. We are also taught that people are made in the image of God. Practically speaking, this means that we were made to know God and to know other people as well. Relationships that Matter means we look out for each others souls. We seek to form deep connections with people who encourage us to find ways to live out our faith and pursue God. These are the people who walk with us through the dark times and celebrate with us in the good times. To be a part of The Grove means to help each other pursue Jesus in all aspects of life.

Love in Action
We believe that God showed love and grace to us before we even knew Him, and that He has always worked through people to reveal His character of love and grace. We exemplify His character when we put Love into Action. Our desire is not just to talk about God, but also to show the people around us His love and kindness by how we live our lives. That means we serve our neighbors and our city because God was good to us and we can’t help but be good to others.
